NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) – “Pushing Daisies” bloomed for ABC on Wednesday, but its “Private Practice” and NBC’s “Bionic Woman” didn’t look as strong in their second outings against CBS’ “Criminal Minds.”

The critical favorite “Daisies” debuted strongly, averaging 13 million viewers and a 4.3 rating/12 share in the adults 18-49 demographic to win both measures in a walk at 8 p.m., Nielsen Media Research said.

At 9 p.m., both “Private Practice” (12.3 million, 4.5/11) and “Bionic Woman” (11.1 million, 4.1/10) posted declines from last week’s premieres — 14.41 million, 5.2/13 and 13.91 million, 5.7/14, respectively.

“Private Practice” still was the night’s top show in the demo, but another winner had to be CBS’ “Minds” (14.6 million, 3.8/10), which was up week-to-week in adults 18-49 and reclaimed the top spot in viewership. But “Minds” declined compared with last year’s telecast, no doubt thanks to increased competition in the time period. Reuters
